Inspections during construction

Inspections and reports by experienced overseer periodically throughout construction aimed at ensuring construction is to the client’s specifications and expectations, meets Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards and accords with s 18B warranties as to residential building work under the Home Building Act 1989.

The procedure is aimed at minimising tension with the contractor and streamlining entire building process with the correction of any problems during construction access to site only when authorised harmonious working relationships between all parties is of prime importance.

Areas such as

  • Footing and raft slabs.
  • Timber frame walls and roofs prior to cladding.
  • Wet areas prior to tiling.
  • Flashing and damproof cause.
  • Fixture and fittings.
  • Final trades.
  • Completion.

The inspections are for the quality as well as the standard, unlike the Certifiers who really don’t deal with that side of the building.
