Summary of Inspection World Conference Las Vegas

Last month I attended the ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors)  Inspection World Conference in Las Vegas.  This was the 2nd time I had attended this conference, last time in 2010 and I found this conference to be a lot more interesting and beneficial, especially for the purposes I was looking at.  Anther reason was I think I was a little more comfortable with Americans, funny thing to say but it takes a little while to understand what they do and how they look at business.  Training program was intense with 3 x 2hr sessions per day plus intermediate morning lunch and afternoon product demonstrations and such classes as ‘Ask the Expert Panel Discussion’ as a lunch program item.

Some of the Education Sessions that I attended were…

  • Truss Inspections
  • Applying Building Science and Home Energy Ratings for improving Home Inspections.
  • Radon – for the Home Inspector,..Manufactured and Module Home and Inspections.
  • Residential Moisture Intrusion, Building Science & Forensic Investigations.
  • Mobile Phone Tools to Market and Run Your Business.
  • Social Media, What, Where, How…and Why.
  • Using Google Ads & Analytics to Book More Inspections Tomorrow.

Good range of subject, not to mention the general discussions with Exhibitors and the ASHI member .

Enjoyed my time at this conference.

Details later on some of the session, next Conference is set for Nashville 12-15th January 2014, could be there!
