What would be classed as the worst defect that a residence can have? This is difficult to pinpoint and would depend upon the extent and affect to the type of structure , the main problems are those that would affect the Structural Integrity of the building.
The following list note of considered main defects:
- Foundation subsidence.
- Footing collapse.
- Water damaged, from roof.
- Wet area, such as the lack of acceptable waterproofing to the bathroom / shower.
- Stormwater cause damage to foundation and base of wall framing.
- Poor cavity and wall flashing.
- Window and door flashing.
- Termite damage considered as a post construction affect, generally related to poor termite barrier.
- Safety issues in relation to the glass, balustrade heights and spacings.
- Plumbing and Electrical breaches
The wurst defects are generally the most expensive to rectify, of cause depending upon the extent of such defects.
